Epoch Times (translated):

Since 1 October there is the wrapping ban in Austria. Since then, it is no longer allowed to cover the face in public. Anyone who continues to obscure his face after a warning must expect a fine of 150 euros.

Fully veiled women are particularly affected by the ban – some of them have left Austria with their families, writes the Austrian “Today”.

As the newspaper further reports, the Viennese police have carried out about 100 official acts since the law was introduced – two-thirds because of Burkas or Nikabs.
