Good news for Austrians however the new government would like to see the numbers not only decline but go negative.
Kronen Zeitung (translated):
Of the 21,130 previous applications, 14,983 have been admitted to the asylum procedure. 6146 were not admitted because they were either ongoing Dublin cases where another country was responsible for the refugees or other reasons were decisive. In addition there are those 2727 procedures that have already been applied for in 2016. This will result in 17,710 total admissions to the asylum procedure by the end of October. The capacity cap is 35,000 this year and should be well below that. In the previous year, it was 37,500, a total of 36,030 procedures were approved.
Significantly more outlander shipments
While the number of asylum applications is declining, the so-called outlander deliveries in the first three quarters have increased significantly by 13.4 percent. It is striking that there are more forced deportations, while the number of voluntarily exits has fallen. In total there were 9877 outland deliveries from January to the end of October. In the previous year there were 8709 cases in the same period.
