Cressida Dick told MPs: “The tempo at the moment with the counter terrorism command is a feeling of about 30% more workload – that’s on the investigative and intelligence side.
“It is putting a considerable strain on the organisation and on policing more generally.”
She bemoaned the fact the Met faces around £400m worth of cuts over the next 3 years, saying the force is under immense strain.
