SO WHAT?

Two 23-year-old German men are ambushed by eight “southerners” (German media-speak for Third World immigrants usually from North Africa). One man had his jaw broken, the other lost some of his teeth.
The crime statistics for the district of Herford speaks a clear language: Accordingly, the number of registered grave offenses in 2016 compared to the previous year increased by 104 to 1681 cases. Rudeness offenses are robbery and assault charges as well as offenses of deprivation of liberty, duress and threat. The main factor influencing the number of cases was an increase of 76 cases, with 1156 cases of personal injury offenses – an increase of seven percent. The enlightenment rate has risen slightly and is about 90 percent in the case of the cruelty offenses.

Westfalen-Blatt:

The attack came from nowhere. Two friends at the age of 23 have been arbitrarily victim of a thug. One suffered a broken jaw, the other lost his incisors.

Gunnar K. is actually different. He wants to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals. He says he is surprised that the case has not been made public by the authorities. Especially since witnesses would be sought. That’s why he tells his story himself.

It is the 13th of October. A Friday. Gunnar K. sits with three buddies. In the pub »Noa« on the racing street they play »Schocken« – a popular dice game. There is beer flowing. “We were all drunk and in a good mood,” says the financial adviser. At about 2:15, the quartet breaks up. “We had to raise money to pay for our lids.”
