On April 15, 2013, two pressure-cooker bombs killed six people and injured 280 at the Boston Marathon. They were detonated by Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, two Chechen Muslim brothers whose family arrived in the US as refugees.

ABC News:

Ahead of today’s Chicago Marathon, a traffic stop by the city’s police on Saturday morning near O’Hare Airport led to the arrest of a Wisconsin man who allegedly had a pressure cooker in his trunk and a pistol and an AR-15 rifle in his possession, according to police.

At around 8 a.m. on Saturday, units assigned to the airport pulled over a speeding car that was leaving the area, according to a statement released by the Chicago Police Department.

After the 32-year-old driver was questioned, a search was performed by officers who “found an AR-15 assault rifle and a pressure cooker in the trunk of the car,” the statement noted.
